Hello from Mrs. G!
Greetings! I am very excited to be your child’s Social Studies Teacher this year! My career began in Milaca, Minnesota, teaching middle school social studies and at an alternative learning center. I have been working for Wheaton Area Schools since 2001. I graduated from Minnesota State University, Moorhead, and I am licensed in Minnesota to teach social studies to grades 5 – 12, instruct driver education to students in grades 9 - 12, and serve as a Community Education Director. I have a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Leadership which I obtained through the University of St. Thomas.
My family and I reside in rural Johnson where my husband, Scott, farms, and works as a part-time auctioneer. We are the proud parents of two boys Colby and Colton. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, all sports activities, and shopping.

I work hard to keep my grades up-to-date but please contact me at any time if you have a question. When viewing JMC, please keep the following codes in-mind to identify un-scored assignments:
“X” = Exempt: The student was exempt from assignment due to absence or other reason (This mark does not hurt a student’s grade)
“LX” = Late/Absent: Assignment was not handed-in but student was absent on the due date (The student can receive full-credit if assignment is completed)
"0" = Zero credit received: The assignment was not handed-in on-time and thus has not received any credit. (The student can receive some credit if assignment is completed but points will be lost).
